Liberty Drafting Studios was founded on a simple belief: getting a residential project permitted in California shouldn't require you to become an expert in building codes, consultant coordination, and permit processes. That's our job — not yours.

Think of us as your in-house design and permit team. We work for you — not the building department, not the contractor. From the first consultation to permit approval, we manage every stage: architectural plans, structural design coordination, solar and fire sprinkler design, permit submittal, plan check responses, and corrections. You stay focused on your vision. We handle the complexity.

The studio was founded by David Ardelian — a construction professional with a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, both earned with honors, and real field experience across multiple countries. His education spans structural systems, foundation design, and construction management and planning. That background means we don't just draw plans. We understand how buildings are built, where problems hide, and how to design around them before they become expensive surprises.

Over 15 years and more than 1,000 architectural plan sets completed in California, we've developed a deep understanding of local building departments, permit processes, and what it takes to get a project approved efficiently. We've worked on everything from new custom homes to fire restoration projects — and we bring that breadth of experience to every client, every time.
